APRIL 2025 SATURDAY MORNING GENERAL CONFERENCE THOUGHTS

Well, my friends - it’s that awesome time again! Let’s go!
Never get tired of sustaining my leaders! It’s my honor and privilege to do that.
I have personally loved this General YM Presidency and all the good they’ve done over the last 5 years.
The audit report is always riveting. 😂 Seriously though, I appreciate the importance of showing that the funds of the Church are being used wisely.
“What does the Father ask of us?” Live like His Son, help others on their way.
It has been such a joy and miracle to see how the Lord has sustained the life of President Jeffrey R. Holland. I don’t think appreciate how close to death’s door he was at. His first word... “Jesus”. That covers it. Becoming as a child does not mean being childish. Be humble. Be teachable. Don't bite. 😂. Honestly, maybe we should petition to rename the Primary “Junior Varsity”—those little ones are out there learning how to play in the big leagues of discipleship. Is there anything more sweeter, more humble, more pure than a child in prayer?" And such a tender story of the young deacon passing the sacrament to his Bishop dad.
So, so grateful President Holland is still with us. What a blessing to the Church, and to each of us.
The story of the ten lepers and the parable of the ten virgins have always been among my favorites. Spiritual “Wholeness” is a pretty amazing concept to study. Healing, and wholeness are not the same thing. “I can be whole while I wait for healing, if I am wholehearted in my relationship with Him” Cool new statue of the 5 wise virgins on Temple Square. Love the way President Camille N. Johnson always brings it.
We can be spiritually whole while we wait for physical and emotional healing. My goodness 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love Elder Rasband’s focus on the word “hastening”. It is a word that matters. The Lord is hastening His work and I love how we are seeing so much unprecedented and exponential growth - that you and I get to be a part of. I’ve heard “The Standard of Truth” quoted a lot lately - probably something to notice there. We are hastening our holiness as we remain temple worthy. Always love a good seminary and institute plug!
Whatever is on your "to do" list, give equal time, not spare time, to the Lord.
Hurrah…Hurrah…Hurrah for Israel, indeed! Such an exciting time to be a member of the Church.
Quentin L. Cook might be one of the youngest looking 84-year olds out there. The Martin and Willie handcart company stories are hard, but inspiring and full of lessons. The rescuers were doing the same thing we need to do. Follow the prophet! Sometimes we are between storms and sometimes we are between clouds and sunshine, but “The Atonement of Jesus Christ provides the ultimate rescue from the trials we face in this life.”
Live optimistically on the sunny side of the street. Optimism makes life better.
All that is unfair about life can be made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Elder Ricardo P. Gimenez touched on a common thread so far (at least in my mind) is not to do things just to do them, but to be proactively connecting our actions to Christ - connecting them to the "why". Life is not a “to-do” checklist. Sometimes we allow our traditions of doing things to keep us from thinking about why we are doing them. Understanding “the why” of what we do is crucial, especially when it comes to our traditions. “The more we can connect reason with our love for the Savior, the more we will be able to receive what we need or are seeking.”
“I love the Savior, and my love for Him is my ‘why.’” 🔥
Henry B. Eyring, the junior member of the First Presidency…at 91, looks good! I love teaching the concept of Jesus being “bad at hide and seek”. As we seek Him, we’ll find Him - every time! Love it when he authentically tells stories from his youth. Humans like to overcomplicate things, and sometimes we, as members of the Church, have a unique ability to overcomplicate life - but President Eyring’s council for us to “come closer to the Savior through simple acts of obedience” should be focused on.
Jesus Christ was waiting for his disciples on the road to Emmaeus. He is ready and waiting to meet you (and your loved ones) on your path too.
Such a good session - time for Momma Crimin’s Cinnamon rolls, Dad’s Ranch Bacon Scrambled Eggs, and some solid link sausage.
See you in a couple hours!
