When B.O.M.Socks Spark Something Marvelous

Sometimes, the simplest things start the most meaningful conversations.

Recently, one of our San Diego Temple socks made their way into a missionary moment—and we had to share the story.

Our son Adam is currently serving as a missionary in San Diego, CA.  We always give him pairs of our San Diego Temple socks to give to his companions.  A former companion shared with him this story.

He stepped out of his car during a finding block when a woman sitting on the steps looked up and said, “Oh my goodness, your socks look awesome!”  He was wearing his San Diego Temple B.O.M.Socks with beautiful flowers leading up to an awesome picture of the temple!

That led to a whole conversation—about socks, about temples, and eventually about the Book of Mormon. She said she heard of "the musical", but this wise missionary introduced her about the book itself.

Also turns out, she was a big fan of unique socks (her favorite featured hamsters on sushi rolls! 🍣 🐹), but also someone who hadn’t been to church in a while. After connecting over faith and fun, the missionaries got her contact info and left the door wide open for more.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - THIS is why we do what we do here at B.O.M.Socks HQ.  Sharing the gospel in normal and natural ways.

We often say our socks are about more than comfort and color—they’re about connection.

Sometimes it's subtle. Sometimes it's humorous.  Sometimes it's spiritual. But the stories we hear from customers and missionaries remind us again and again: this really is a marvelous work and a wonder.
